Trevor is a Vancouver native and a recent graduate of the Capilano College Tourism Management program. Trevor previously worked for the Canadian Tourism Commission and was responsible for the groundbreaking E-Connect Conference which explored digital media and emerging technology in the tourism and travel industries.

Born and Raised in Winnipeg, Kimberly is a true prairie girl at heart who left her roots because of her love for Latin America. She has lived in Mexico, the Domincan Republic, and Costa Rica but now calls our beautiful West Coast home. She is a graduate of th McRae institute of International Managment and holds a degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Manitoba. She has been in the hospitality and events industry for the last seven years and currently works as a Sales Manager for both the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Resort Whistler properties. When Kimberly isn't dancing up a salsa storm or training for her first marathon, she can be found fundraising for the 24-hour Easter Relay with her friends on the Bobbleheads Team!

Managing corporate events and travel is second nature to Vivian. Raised in Vancouver and having lived throughout BC and Alberta, this BCIT graduate has a true passion for Western Canada. With more than eight years of experience in sales and marketing, travel promotion, destination and event management, her expertise is in demand across North America.

New this year to the Vancouver AM board, Leanne Gillespie is the creative force behind Shift Designs, a Graphic Design studio that offers expertise in branding, print & web design. Formally, the Art Director with Momentum Media Marketing, she now operates her own studio helping clients throughtout BC, Alberta and Washington State create unique, customized solutions for their particular marketing needs. Leanne has been involved with a charity relay team the past 6 years which has raised an outstanding $197,000 and has chaired such notable events as the Bobblehead Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction which grossed close to $16,000 in May 2008.

An experienced traveller, Kate is the designer of the Vancouver Raincoat and the 5 Essentials for Travel. She uses her experiences to develop designs for living. She encourages local manufacturers to try different projects and promotes BC made products internationally. In her Granville Island store, Lifestylewest, Kate sells unique, BC made products for the West Coast lifestyle to tourists from around the globe. Kate believes Vancouver AM is a great organization to keep us informed of what is going on in Vancouver.

Kerry moved to Vancouver from the UK in December 2005, and LOVES her new home! Originally a science nerd and lab rat, she swapped bacteria for dance partners and now runs Ceroc Canada, a social dance party club wildly popular in the UK and now in Canada. Ceroc has several venues in Vancouver and Calgary with expansion plans in development for other cities across the country.

Lenore has been with Vancouver AM for six years and, as the new Executive Director, she looks forward to growing the organization and diversifying the membership of this long-standing, well-respected tourism networking association.

Brenda Jacobsen
Brenda was born and raised in Winnipeg but always loved British Columbia’s natural rugged beauty. It didn’t take long before she moved here in 1989 to first join Vancouver AM and use her communications skills to promote ‘the spirit of Vancouver’. A Communications Specialist, Brenda has spent 25 years developing communications programs for a diverse clientele base. She has a background in corporate communications, special events, and marketing – and also has a media background as a broadcast writer producer and freelance tourism writer. Whether it’s creating crisp copy for news releases and ads, strategizing a communications roll out, or presenting information to stakeholders, Brenda is positive and action-oriented. She lives with her fiancé and blended family of four in charming and historic Steveston. In her spare time, she loves hiking the lush local mountains, cycling and enjoying Vancouver’s vibrant arts and entertainment culture.
